When Do You Want Your Stories to Expire? New Options for Snapchat Plus Users.
22-10-2022
There are more and more reasons for Snapchat users to go premium. Another feature is being tested now for Snapchat+. And it will make your presence on Snapchat even more flexible, as with it you will be able to define how long your stories will remain watchable. Along with this, the premium subscription will receive some other features making it worth the price.
First of all: how long can you keep your story watchable? While free users have a set period of 24 hours, Snapchat+ will enable you to keep a story for as short as one hour or for as long as one week. Of course, there are in-between options as well, though you cannot set your story to stay, for example, for 25 hours. The steps include 1, 6, 12, 24 hours, and from 2 to 7 days. This can be a good option for those who want their stories to stay longer or shorter than usual, making their presence online more of an event.
Another Plus-only addition is custom notification sounds. If you are on Snapchat+, you can set different sounds to notify you about action of different persons on your friend list. In the 2000s, it was a thing for feature phones to set custom ringtones and learn who’s calling without watching the phone. Now Snapchat reinvents this feature for social media.
Among other additions, there are custom color border colors for your videos and photos. As Halloween is near, there are also three Halloween-themed Bitmoji. It’s not clear, though, for how long they will remain available. There are also changeable app icons, badges, data insights, and visual elements. Finally, Snapchat introduces subscription as a gift, as Christmas is coming, and Snapchat+ for many will be a very welcome present.
What do you think about these additions in the premium plan? If you’re not on Snapchat+ yet, will these change your mind? And which of them do you like the most? Share your opinion with us in the comments!
