New In-App Features on Facebook in Honor of Pride Month

With Pride Month being upon us, Facebook doesn’t stand aside and adds all kinds of fun features for people to use to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. The celebratory additions include stickers for stories, avatars, different backgrounds for posts, chat themes for Messenger, and more.

If you are interested to learn more about the community, you can use the #Pride hashtag to see the feed launched by Facebook. There you will be able to see posts from publishers, groups, and public figures.

Another great initiative is that Facebook supports businesses set up by those who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. You can see products from such businesses in the #Pride collections by clicking on the hashtag. You can also discover different brands during the Live Shopping Fridays that will support Pride Month.

It doesn’t end with just Facebook, as Instagram has also received new sticks and rainbow hashtags. When you add a hashtag related to the topic of Pride Month to a post, a rainbow text will appear after you publish it.

What do you think about Facebook initiatives? Do you think there should be other features added? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
