Baldur’s Gate 3, the eagerly awaited Dungeons & Dragons RPG from Larian Studios, is getting closer to its full release. Fans of the game have just received some news that has made them excited: system requirements for the PC version of Baldur's Gate 3 have been slightly increased.

The new requirements are more demanding than the ones that were previously announced in the early access version. All gaming rig owners who want to play Baldur’s Gate 3 on the PC should now get ready for what is known as “next-gen” specs. So, the minimum requirements are now Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX-8350 with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4 GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4 GB. The recommended specs are Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super 6 GB / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB. Additionally, all users will need 8 GB of RAM, 150 GB of disk space, Windows 10 64-bit, and the DirectX 11 version.

The developers explain the increased requirements by the improvements made to the game during its early access development. All the work that has been done to improve the game’s visuals is the main reason why real next-gen specs are now needed to enjoy the immersive experience of Baldur's Gate 3 in the best quality possible. It is also worth mentioning that Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PlayStation 5 this August and the release for Xbox Series X/S is in the works.

Also exciting for fans is the fact that the game’s full version is coming out in just a few days. On August 31, Baldur’s Gate 3 finally leaves early access and is released to the public in all its glory.

Overall, Baldur's Gate 3 is becoming a reality, and it promises to be an incredibly immersive experience. To make the most of it, PC gamers should check their rigs and make sure the specs meet or exceed the minimum or recommended requirements. It is also worth noting that the console version of the game is on its way, but its release date is not certain yet.
