YouTube will offer new channels as part of the on-demand package. The “newcomers” are mostly Spanish-speaking.

Google's online TV service is adding new channels to its programming. The new ones are aimed at the Spanish-speaking community. It includes a trio of Hispanic channels: Univision, UniMás and Galavisión.

These channels have been available for free since the moment they went live on the YT’s platform. It’s a nice addition to the selection of 80+ channels, which are already offered by YouTube.

The line-up includes such popular live networks as Fox, BNC, PBS, Adult Swim, Animal Planet, and others.

The debuting channel will bring a fresh wave of Hispanic shows. Among the “flagships” we can find Mi casita, Al derecho y al derbez, Vencer El Pasado, Nuestra Belleza Latina Extra, Los Cousins, and many other titles.

As a side benefit, all the Spanish-speaking viewers who live in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and other states where Hispanic content is sought-after, will be able to watch news and weather forecasts in their native language.

Additionally, Univision library of the on-demand shows will also be available via YouTube. Besides, it was reported that YouTube is testing waters with even more Hispanic broadcasters, which include Discovery en Español, CNN en Español, Sony Cine, Cinelatino.

So, if you don’t want to part with your Hispanic roots or dream of practicing the language of Cervantes and Cypress Hill by watching TV, you’re in luck.

Simply subscribe to the YouTube TV service. By the way, it offers a free trial. And at the moment you can get the subscription with a handsome discount of 10 bucks.
