The Overwatch 2 mid-season patch is finally here, and it brings a flurry of changes with it. From tweaks to four of their heroes to a plethora of bug fixes, the development team has been busy preparing the game for the Battle for Olympus.

The first hero taking some tweaks is Junker Queen. Her Adrenaline Rush passive ability has been buffed so that when an enemy is defeated while under its effect, her wound healing continues until the Wound's effect timing runs out. Her Carnage ability cooldown will also reduce by two seconds for every enemy she hits with it. Additionally, Jagged Blade direct hit damage has been decreased from 80 to 50, but now causes 30 Wound damage, and it stacks with Wound caused by melee hits or the Jagged Blade return.

Next up is the powerful Zarya. Her Energy reduction rate has been slightly decreased from 2.2 to 2 points per second, while the delay before energy degradation begins has increased from one second to two. On the other hand, Brigitte has seen her shield health rise from 250 to 300, while Moira's Biotic Orb ability now restores a small amount of Biotic Energy.

The patch also addressed a lot of bugs that have been affecting the playing experience. These ranged from improper placement of Ramattra's Souvenirs, black textures appearing during Kiriko's Whirlwind animation, and Reaper's animation when coming out of the "Take a Knee" emote to bugs with Mercy, Ramattra, and Bastion. Furthermore, bugs that were occurring in Watchpoint: Gibraltar and Shambali, as well as some other minor issues, were also fixed.

The Overwatch 2 mid-season patch is a great step forward for the game, and fan favorite Roadhog is set to receive a major rework later this month. With a new mode, team deathmatch, on its way and plenty of bug fixes, the game is sure to continue its success going into 2021.
