The latest news reveals that the popular underground exploration and co-op sandbox game is set for a significant update. With a strong achievement of reaching 4 million copies sold across multiple platforms, the game is now expanding its horizons with an upcoming version for Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled for a January 28, 2026 release.

Pugstorm and Fireshine Games have confirmed the exciting transition as the game moves to a new platform, bringing enhancements designed to improve performance over the current Switch model. Players can now enjoy a smoother experience with a target of 60 FPS, along with refined lighting, improved shadows, enhanced water quality, and more detailed particle effects. In addition, the player capacity has doubled from four to eight, making cooperative play even more engaging. Users of the existing platform will also be able to join co-op sessions hosted on the new system, with the upgrade provided at no additional cost to current owners.

The update will be marked by the Void & Voltage expansion, launching on the same day as the new platform release. This update introduces:

  • A fresh biome known as Breaker’s Reach
  • New enemy types to challenge players
  • A colossal new boss robot with a unique nickname
  • Additional weaponry, including a flamethrower and a minigun
  • Advanced automation features and base management tools

All of these upgrades are showcased in the latest trailer, highlighting the exciting journey that awaits both new and returning adventurers. Have you gotten around to checking out the game yet??
