Last month's inclusion of Homelander marked the end of the first Kombat Pack in Mortal Kombat 1. However, there's ample gaming content waiting in the pipeline, as revealed by the game's official Twitter. It has been announced that on July 26th at San Diego Comic-Con, the next chapter- Year 2, is going to be introduced.
The panel is scheduled to commence from 2 PM and extend till 3 PM PDT, where the next wave of DLC fighters might be disclosed. Recent probing by Dataminer Interloko indicated the potential addition of new characters – Noob Saibot, Sektor, Cyrax, the T-1000 from Terminator, Ghostface from Scream, and Conan the Barbarian. Furthermore, an addition of two new arenas and five new announcers is also speculated.
While there might be another Kombat Pack under wraps, in December 2023, Ed Boon, the co-founder of NetherRealm, confirmed that more paid DLC content is under development. The upcoming DLC will expand the storyline, and a major surprise is set to unravel after its release.
Currently, Mortal Kombat 1 can be played on platforms like Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
