Following a tweet from Bend Studios that showcased Deacon relaxing under a palm tree while two robotic puppies played nearby, conveying congratulations to Asobi Studio for the game's launch, Garvin expressed his disappointment. He found it disheartening that Deacon's role seems to have diminished to merely advertising other titles.

This comment led Bend Studios to promptly clarify their stance, ensuring that they take pride in the accomplishments of Days Gone, while also attempting to separate their current direction from the sentiments expressed by Garvin.
