Zelda Sequel Promo Intrigued Fans

In early October, a Nintendo Live event took place in Japan. There was a big statue of Link with an outstretched arm, which sparked a new wave of discussion and theories among the Legend of Zelda fan community. The release of Tears of the Kingdom is announced for May 12, 2023.

With the sequel still a long time away from launch and with little official comment or detail from Nintendo on gameplay mechanics, fans are quick to find reasons to discuss. In addition, Link's statue had not only an incredible look and great detail but also a certain symbolism for Zelda fans. The fact is that the pose of this character has become a key element of new theories. Link is standing with an outstretched hand, which is highlighted and has a blue-green color. This emphasis was present at events and trailers for Nintendo showing Tears of the Kingdom.

In the teasers, Link's arm appeared during the same period that the release date for the sequel was announced. The players at the Nintendo Live 2022 event and those who had to settle for videos and photos of the statue on their device screens began heated discussions. Some fans believe that the character absorbs powers through his hand. Others suggest that the hand is blue-green due to corruption, and the brace is holding it back from spreading. There are a lot of different theories about the meaning on the Internet.

Fan speculation may take place, and perhaps in this way, the creators of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom want to hint at certain gameplay features. On the other hand, it can be a good way to warm up the players’ interest before the official launch or at least announcements.
